Hobbies:

In her "spare" time she enjoys reading (Tolkien a favorite!), watercolor painting, and scrapbooking. She is also a free-lance writer, and enjoys time with her family--husband Dave, and three adult daughters: Gracie who just graduated college and began her own music teaching career, Bethany who works locally in phone support and crafting, and Christen (Brandon) Harper who work in Jackson TN and graced us with two sweet grandchildren August and Matilda Harper!

Student Successes:

The Barber Piano Studio produced the first Suzuki Talent Education Piano Book Seven graduates in the East Tennessee area, and now boasts a total of 9 of these graduates...Joe Davis, Roxie Friberg, Brianne Roddy, Kari Kuhns, Hannah Davis, Chad Miller, Stephen Adams, Lori Baxter, and LilyGrace Mitchell. In addition, at least 27 students from the studio have gone on to study music in college and/or establish a career in music teaching, ministry, or music business, some of them locally!
